Theresa Manchester, beloved wife of Walter Scott Manchester and daughter of John and Mary Kopish passed away at Crowell Home on Nov. 18, 2018. She was born on Aug. 20, 1928, in Chicago. Theresa grew up and graduated from high school in Fort Dodge, Iowa, in 1947. Theresa and Walt were married on Feb. 28, 1949, in Fort Dodge. Walt and Theresa lived in Burnside, Fort Dodge, Atlantic and Oelwein, Iowa; Mitchell, S.D.; and Harvard, Ill. Theresa was a devoted mother and grandmother. She and Walt farmed in Burnside, Theresa was a seamstress, and she was supportive of Walt when he worked for the Chamber of Commerce for several towns where they lived, and they also owned a jewelry store together in Mitchell. Theresa has lived in assisted living care since Walt passed, most recently at Autumn Pointe and Crowell Home. She was known for her warm heart, faith, strength, sense of humor and her resiliency.

Theresa is survived by her children, Tom (Cheryl) Manchester of Harvard, Ill., Cindy (Ray) Beittel of Reston, Virginia, Brian (Joan) Manchester of Blair, Nancy (Jerry) Fradet of Letcher, South Dakota; grandchildren, Matt (Veronique) Beittel and Christine (PJ) Janaske, Jeni (Ryan) Frenk, Chris (Suzi) Manchester, Chad (Ashley) Manchester, Brandon (Molly) Manchester, Cory (Amanda) Weeden, Chase Weeden, Walter Scott Manchester, Jake Manchester and Joe Manchester; and 10 great- grandchildren.

Theresa is preceded in death by her husband Walter; her parents, John and Mary; her 10 siblings, brothers, John, Bill, Steve, Eugene and Joe and her sisters, Mary, Helen, Francis, June and her twin sister, Margaret Angelina, who died at birth.

Theresa's memorial service will be at St. Francis Borgia Church on Nov. 20, 2018 at 10 a.m, she will be buried beside her husband Walt in Harvard, Ill. Memorials will go to Crowell Memorial Home Foundation.
