Marjorie M. Sederberg, 96, of Beatrice died Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at the Beatrice P.E.O. Home. She was born on May 31, 1922, in Wayne, where she graduated from high school and Wayne State College. She earned a master’s degree in educational psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She was married to Aldon Sederberg on October 15, 1943, at Prince Frederick, Md., where he was serving as an Ensign in the United States Navy. The family moved to Beatrice in 1953.

Marjorie was employed at the Martin Luther Home in Beatrice for 20 years, retiring in 1986. She served as Vice-President of Program Development and was instrumental in developing community programs in Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, and Illinois. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter F.M., Beatrice Hospital Guild, and Centenary United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Carol Fanoele of Blair; and two sons, Jim Sederberg and wife Jean of Denver, and Dave Sederberg and wife Beth of Beatrice; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Anna Harrison; husband, Aldon in 1999; an infant daughter; an infant granddaughter; and son-in-law, Gary Fanoele.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice with Pastor Mark Schutt officiating. A private burial of ashes will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery. A register book will be available on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given for a charitable donation to be made in Marjorie’s name to the P.E.O. Home with the funeral home in charge.
