Lois M. Jones, 84, of Arlington, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30 at the Arlington Community Church. Burial will be at the Arlington Cemetery.

Visitation will begin Friday, July 29 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service.

Lois M. Moore was born Nov. 26, 1926, in Avoca, Iowa, to Robert and Eva (Cook) Moore. She lived at Avoca until moving to Fremont in 1936. She was a graduate of Fremont High School.

She married Walter G. Jones on Dec. 30, 1945, at the First Baptist Church in Fremont. The couple moved to Arlington in 1946.

Mrs. Jones was a member of the Arlington Community Church, charter member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #8332 of Arlington and an active member of the Arlington Senior Center.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Lee A. and Jeanne Jones of Fremont and Dale Jones of French Camp, Miss.; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Sandy Heflin of Sauk Rapids, Minn.; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Orville Rustman of Franklin Park, Ill.; two grandsons; one great-grandson; and two honorary great-granddaughters who call her "Grandma Flo."

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter in September 1991, and two brothers, Robert Moore and Clifford Krondak.

Memorials may be given to the Arlington Community Church or the Arlington Rescue Squad.
