Jerry D. "Woody" Woodcock, 54, of Fremont, NE, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018, at Fremont Health Medical Center.

Jerry was born January 11, 1963, in Fremont to Marvin and Carol (Severyn) Woodcock. He graduated from Fremont High School in 1982. Jerry resided in the Fremont area and was employed by Hormel Foods in Fremont. He married Michelle Saunders on December 22, 2003 in Fremont. Jerry's passion in life was working with the Winslow Volunteer Fire Department and currently the Fremont Rural Fire Department. Family was very important to Jerry and he adored spending time with his 9 grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Michelle of Fremont; sons, Blake (Maggie) Woodcock, Austin Woodcock, and David (Marissa Miller) Poe, all of Fremont and Brent (Mariah) Ashbrook of Gretna, NE; daughter, Brianna Goebel, of Lincoln, NE; mother, Carol Hass and mother-in-law, Linda Saunders, both of Fremont; brothers, Todd (Bessie) Hass and Layne (Patty) Hass, both of Fremont; brother-in-law, Travis (Lisa) Saunders of Seattle, WA; sisters, Jodi (Mike Conklin) Cartwright and Carmen (Keth) Peacock, both of Fremont; 9 grandchildren, Cohen, Skyler, Natalie, Madison, Hailey, Kaitlyn, Connor, Cadyn, and Calia.

Jerry was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Marvin Woodcock; step-father, LeRoy Hass; father-in-law, Gary Saunders; and brother, Brad Hass.

The memorial service will be 10:30 AM, Friday, January 5, 2018, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont with The Rev. Scott Jensen officiating. Family receiving friends and book signing will be from 5 PM until 7 PM on Thursday, at Moser Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at the Arlington Cemetery in Arlington, NE.
