Henry Dale Goodin was born Nov. 2, 1968, to Donald and Darlene (Brown) Goodin in West Point. He passed away Nov. 28, 2018, at his home in Tekamah, at the age of 50 years.

Dale made his home in Lyons, at the age of 12, in 1980. He had come to live with his sister, Carol “McCrea” Lautrup after his mother, Darlene passed away. His father, Don, passed away in 1972. He graduated from Lyons High School. While there, he participated in wrestling and football. He was a Boy Scout with Scoutmaster Kenny Dixon. Kenny was like a second father to Dale. On Aug. 9, 1987, Dale became an Eagle Scout. Dale was married and later divorced. To this union were born two children, Brandon Paul Goodin on Aug. 24, 1988, and Jennafer Maree on April 28, 1990. Dale worked most of his life in construction. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ricky Dean Goodin. He is survived by his children, Jennafer Maree of Omaha, and Brandon Paul of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sisters, Carol (Donnie) Lautrup of Blair, Mary Tyler of California, Micky (Joe) Prien of Lyons; brother, Dicky (Tammy) Goodin of Omaha; many nieces and nephews, spending a lot of time with Kristina Springston of Lyons and her two sons, Isiah William Goodin and Kadin Tyler Goodin (Dale’s fishing buddies); and many, many friends.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date for family and friends.
