Brown, Lawrence A., 92 Died 30 December 1990 Burial in Arlington Cemetery Date and place of publication of this article were not recorded Services are 2 p.m. today, Thursday, December 3 at the Arlington Community Church, UCC in Arlington for Lawrence A. Brown, 92 of rural Arlington who died December 30, 1990 at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair. Rev. Don Cassiday is officiating. Masonic services will follow immediately at the church , conducted by members of Hiram Masonic Lodge No. 52, A.F. & A.M. of Arlington. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday morning at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home and one hour before the time of service at the church. Lawrence A. Brown was born November 6, 1898 in rural Arlington and was a lifetime member of the Arlington area. He was a dairy farmer until his retirement. He moved to Crowell Memorial Home in May, 1989. He served on the Arlington Township Board, was a member of Arlington Community Church, past master and current member of Hiram Masonic Lodge No. 52, A.F. & A.M. of Arlington where he received his 60 year pin; the York Rite Masonic Bodies of Fremont and a life member of Tangier Shrine Temple of Omaha. He married Bess Gilmore February 16, 1932 in Papillion. She preceded him in death October 29, 1986. His parents, Frank and Ida Anderson Brown also preceded him in death. He is survived by a daughter, Kay (Mrs. Leo) Voss Buchardt of Arlington; a brother, Lloyd Brown of Fremont; a sister, Irene Berry of Tekamah; three grandchildren, Marilyn, Lawrence and Cynthia Voss; and one great-grandson, Alvin Voss. Ruby House is organist. Shirley Schmidt is soloist. Pallbearers are LeRoy Brown, Robert Brown, Tom Brown, Tim Brown, Nick Brown and Bill Brown. Memorials have been established to the church and the Arlington baseball team.
