Delbert L. Osborne, 88

Managed a Senior Mobile Home Park in Calif.

Delbert L. Osborne, 88, of Omaha, died Sunday, July 24, 2011, in Omaha.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, August 3, at 10:00 a.m. at Roeder Mortuary in Omaha. There is no visitation and there will be a private family inurnment. Military honors will be conducted by Benson VFW Post 2503.

Delbert "Del" L. Osborne was born July 8, 1923, in Bolivar, Mo., to John and Eliza Osborne, the youngest of 10 children.

He was employed with Safeway Stores for 38 years in Maryville, Mo., and Omaha. After Mr. and Mrs. Osborne retired, they moved to Costa Mesa, Calif., where they managed a senior mobile home park by the Pacific Ocean.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dolores, the daughter of the late Ray and Goldie Follen of Blair; sons and daughter-in-law, David Osborne of Falls Church, Va., and Denny and Jeanne Osborne of Newport Beach, Calif.; sister, Edna Glaser of Laguna Hills, Calif.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Peterson.

Del and Dolores in their retirement moved to Costa Mesa, CA where they managed a senior mobile home park by the Pacific Ocean. Preceded in death by daughter, Susan Peterson. Survived by wife of 67 years, Dolores Osborne (whose parents were the late Ray and Goldie Follen of Blair, NE); sons, David Osborne, falls Church, VA; Denny (Jeanne) Osborne, Newport Beach, CA; sister, Edna Glaser, Laguna Hills, CA; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service 10am Wednesday at Roeder Mortuary, 2727 N. 108th Street. Private Family Inurnment. No Visitation. Military Honors by Benson VFW Post #2503.
