Mrs. Peter Follen passed away at her home on west Nebraska Street last Thursday. The deceased was born in Stenum, Denmark, March 3, 1861, and had lived in Washington County many years. Surviving her besides the bereaved husband are three daughters, Mrs. Chris Christoffersen and Mrs. Hurley Clements of Herman and Mrs. Wolsman of Blair; and four sons, George and Roy of Blair, Emil of Herman and Al of Fremont. Funeral services were conducted from the Danish Lutheran Church last Saturday afternoon with Rev. Jas. Lund officiating. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery.

MRS. PETER FOLLEN Mrs. Peter Follen, age 70 years, 9 months and 14 days passed away at her home in Dexterville on last Thursday, December 17, 1931 at eleven o’clock a.m.

Deceased was born in Sternume, Denmark where she grew to womanhood. She came to America forty two years ago.

On December 5, 1890 she was married to Peter Follen. After their marriage they reside for four years in Omaha, and then moved to a farm in the southern part of the county. Later Mr. follen purchased a farm in the Pleasant View school district northwest of Blair where they resided until fourteen years ago when they moved to Blair and retired from the active duties of the farm.

Eight living children, with the devoted husband, are left to mourn the death of the mother. They are: Chris Greggerson of Ft. Calhoun, Mabel, George, Hilma, Roy, Clara and Emil, all of this county and Albert of Fremont; also fourteen grandchildren.

It has been the pleasure of the writer to have known the deceased, and no more Christian like or sweeter disposition could be found. A true wife and mother in the deepest sense of the word. With such a personage the world was enriched and made better, and the memory of her virtues will live long in the memory of her friends.

The funeral services were held from the home at 1:30 pm. last Saturday and at 2:30 from the Danish Lutheran church with Rev. Lund officiating and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
