Henry Hilgenkamp Rites Were Held August 6th

Henry G. Hilgenkamp, 83, of Arlington, died Thursday afternoon at the Fremont hospital.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington. The Rev. Ernest Eckhardt officiated.

He was born December 8, 1889, at Arlington where he lived most of his life. He married Sophie Kruger in 1915. She died in 1964. Hilgenkamp had been living at the Fremont hospital annex for the past two years.

Survivors include his son, Ramond, Arlington; daughter, Esther Hilgenkamp, Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. Leonard (Laurine) Sperling, Arlington; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Lattin-Dugan Chambers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Henry William Gottlieb Hilgenkamp was born December 8, 1889 at Arlington, Nebraska and passed away Thursday, August 2, 1973 Memorial Hospital, Fremont, Nebraska at the age of 83 years 7 months and 25 days.

He spent most of his life farming north of Arlington then retiring and moving to Arlington, Nebraska, the past two years has been a resident at the Memorial Hospital Annex in Fremont.

In 1915 he was married to Sophie Kruger who preceded him in death in 1964.

Survivors include one son, Raymond, of Arlington, two daughters, Esther, of Seattle, Washington and Mrs. Leonard Sperling of Arlington. Also seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Services Held 10:30 A.M. Monday, August 6, 1973 St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Clergyman: Rev. Ernest Eckhardt. Music: Congregation will sing hymns No. 599 and No. 589. St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Choir “Abide With Me”. Mr. George Bluma, Organist.
