Martin Hilgenkamp, 79, of Fremont died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County.

Hilgenkamp was born August 2, 1907, north of Arlington. He grew up and farmed on the same farm until 1960, when he moved to Fremont. In Fremont, he was employed by Johnson Furniture and later, Memorial Hospital.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He married Edna Heidbrink December 25, 1930, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington. She survives.

Other survivors include one son, Dallas of Uehling; one daughter, Mrs. Ray (Shirley) Hula of Fremont; two sisters, Frieda and Elsie, both of Fremont; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 8 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 16th and Luther Road; Rev. Donald Levenhagen officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the church.
