Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 8, at Campbell Funeral Home for Lulu R. Follen, 81, of Blair, who died June 5, 1983, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

The Rev. Owen Wilmot officiated. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha.

Lulu R. Follen was born in Osmond, Nebraska, to John and Paulina Kahler Minert, Sr., on October 11, 1901. A homemaker, she married Emil Follen on September 1, 1949, in Omaha.

She is survived by her husband, Emil, of Blair; one daughter, Dorothy Elsasser, Omaha; one son, Robert Gatzemeyer, Millard; and two step-sons, Lyle Follen, Fremont, and Alan Follen, Blair. Eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, John Minert, Jr.; and one sister, Viola Munsell, Springfield, Missouri, also survive her.

Pallbearers are Vernon Christoffersen, Ervin Clements, Mark Follen, Bob Gatzemeyer, Keith Gatzemeyer, and Robert Elsasser.

Clare Cowing will be organist.
