Truhlsen, Stanley M., Jr. May 18, 1951 - Nov 19, 2018 Stanley Truhlsen, Jr., affectionately known to family and friends as "Squeak," passed away on November 19, 2018 at the age of 67 following a courageous year-long battle with cancer. He attended Brownell Talbot, Westside High School, and The University of Nebraska – Lincoln. He became a golf professional and subsequently earned his PGA Professional Certification in 1977. Squeak was a respected golf instructor at many courses throughout Nebraska, Iowa and Texas. His hallmarks were his easy-going style, his understanding of the golf swing, affable manner, uncanny knack for names and faces, and making everyone feel welcome and respected. Preceded in death by his beloved mother, Ruth Truhlsen, he is survived by his father, Dr. Stanley M. Truhlsen, Sr. (Dottie); brother, William Truhlsen (Joan); sisters, Nancy Brager (John) and Barbara Mitchell (Peter); nieces: Yancy Baker, Ali Keller, Erin Zanotti, and Jenny Mitchell; and nephew, Jon Brager. Stan "Squeak" had a contagious laugh that will be missed by his family, friends, and associates. His generous spirit shone brightest in the service of others. He worked tirelessly and gave generously to many charities throughout Omaha, but more important, to anyone who needed a helping hand. Squeak will always be remembered as one who touched his friends' and family's lives in a special way, with genuine selflessness, the deepest kindness, and a gentleness of spirit that lifted everyone he met. It is with immense sorrow, love and admiration that we bid him farewell. Squeak, until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand. The family will receive friends on Monday, Nov. 26th from 4pm to 6pm at the West Center Chapel. A celebration of Stan's life will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 27th at 11am at the West Center Chapel. For those who desire, memorials may be made to TeamMates Mentoring Program and Outlook Nebraska. HEAFEY-HOFFMANN-DWORAK-CUTLER, WEST CENTER CHAPEL 7805 W. Center Rd. 402-391-3900
