Services for Donald Brummer, age 56 of Blair, who died at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair December 6, will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 10 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church with burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair.
Donald H. Brummer was born on May 9, 1935 at Dunlap, Iowa to Leonard and Regina Stolz Brummer. He attended schools in Dunlap and Logan, Iowa and graduated from Kennard High School in 1953.
He served in the Marines during the Korean War from 1954 until 1957.
On January 26, 1968 he married Rose Marie Brummer in Omaha, Nebraska.
Don was employed in the sales department with Sears Mobile Home until his health caused him to retire. Prior to this he was in partnership with Harvest Homes.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie; five sons and daughters-in-law, Derek Brummer, Lincoln, Nebraska; Britt and Sue Ann Brummer, Columbus, Nebraska; Doug and Tracy Magill, Firth, Nebraska; David and Diane Magill, Macon, Georgia and Dan and Pam Magill, Herman, Nebraska; eight granddaughters, three grandsons; parents, Leonard and Jean Brummer, Blair; one sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Pat Gottsch, Elkhorn, Nebraska; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Vicki Brummer, Blair and Richard and Rhea Brummer, Omaha, Nebraska and a sister-in-law, Janice Marr Olsen, Omaha.
