Jerry J. Foran, 71

Jerry J. Foran, 71, of Fort Calhoun, died Jan. 16, 2007.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at American Legion Post No. 348, 1311 Court Street, in Fort Calhoun.

Jerry J. Foran was born in Spencer, Iowa, to John and Hilda Foran. In 1954, he joined the United States Army and was stationed mostly in Germany.

He lived many years in Brainerd, Minn., working for the airlines and raising his family.

In 1985, he moved to Nebraska.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, David, of Ames, Iowa, Steven “Ty” and Pam of Bellevue, Douglas and Sara of Brainerd, Minn., and Joseph and Kristin of Audubon, Iowa; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one niece; and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Foran.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to American Legion Post No 348 in Ft. Calhoun, NE 68023.

Foran-Jerry J, age 71, of Fort Calhoun, NE, passed away January 16, 2007. He was born in Spencer, IA to John and Hilda Foran. In 1954, he joined the Army and was stationed mostly in Germany. He lived many years in Brainerd, MN, working for the airlines and raising his family. In 1985 he moved to Nebraska. His parents and a brother, Robert Foran, preceded him in death. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, David of Ames, IA, Teven (TY and Pam, of Bellevue, NE, Douglas and Sara, of Brainerd, MN, Joseph and Kristin, of Audobon, IA; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, 1 niece and friends.

Family and friends will be gathering for a celebration of Jerry’s life on Saturday, January 27th at 2:00 pm. The celebration will be held at the American Legion post #348, 1311 Court St., Ft. Calhoun, NE. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to the American Legion Post #348 in Fort Calhoun, NE 68023
