Mrs. Wm. Voss Funeral Today

RITES THIS AFTERNOON FOR MRS. VOSS, LONG A WASHINGTON COUNTIAN

Mrs. William Voss of Kennard, age 66, died Monday at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

The funeral will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. The Rev. Robert E. Shirck will officiate, and burial, with arrangements by the Hadan Mortuary, will be in the German Cemetery north of Bennington.

Bertha Caroline Koepke was born in Douglas County, Nebr., Apr. 28, 1890, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Koepke. She and Mr. Voss were married Mar. 23, 1910, after the family had previously lived in Wayne County.

Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Voss. Surviving Mrs. Voss are her husband, William; four sons, John, Wallace and Alvin, all of Kennard, and Wilbert of Dakota City, Nebr.; and four daughters, Mrs. Loren Christensen (Catherine) of Bennington, Mrs. Avery Jaspersen (Dorothy) of Oakland, Mrs. W. D. Parrish (Evelyn) of Omaha, and Miss Wilma Voss, at home. There are nine grandchildren, also three sisters, Mrs. Ben L. Voss of Blair, Mrs. F. C. Voss of Winside and Mrs. William Thielfoldt of Iroquois, S.D.; and one brother, William Koepcke of Winside, Nebr.
