Former Blair Banker Dies of Crash Hurts-Chris Schmidt, Former Head Of State Bank Is Victim

Chris Schmidt, formerly head of the State Bank of Blair and well-known throughout the county, died December 27, in a Santa Monica hospital following an auto accident of the previous day.

Deceased was a native of Blair and resided here until after crash when he went to California to live. At the time of the accident his wife was riding with him but she escaped unhurt. He suffered a brain concussion from which he did not rally.

His brother, C. J. Schmidt of Blair left immediately for California where he was present at the funder services which were held there.
