Mrs. Marian M. Brunton, who on Thursday of last week was taken to Glenwood, Iowa, to be cared for by a sister residing there, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 1933. She had been ill for some time of heart trouble which finally was the result of her death.

Marian M. Carter was born March 13, 1879 in DeSoto and had lived most of her life in this, her native county. She was married July 3, 1901 to Warren Brunton and to this union five children were born. Two died in infancy, the three living being Mrs. Lucille Lowe, of Decatur, Ill., and Carter and J. Kenneth at home. The husband passed away about three years ago and since that time she has made her home in Blair but her failing health had caused the daughter, Mrs. Lowe, to come home and for the past eight months she has given her the best care possible and only last week she relinquished her charge to the aunt residing in Glenwood, Iowa.

Besides the children and two grandchildren, Mrs. Brunton leaves one brother, J.M. Carter, of Los Angeles, Calif., and four sisters, Mrs. Marion Sutherland, of Blair; Mrs. F.E. Daschner of Glenwood, Iowa; Mrs. John T. Wright, of Chadron, Neb., ; and Mrs. A.A. Garner of Lexington, Virginia.

The funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Bendorf Funeral Home with Rev. T.J. Reese officiating and interment will be made in the Blair cemetery.
