GEORGE K. BRUSE DIED AT MEDFORD, OREGON WEDNESDAY

Graveside services for George K. Bruse, 54, of 1400 Fortune Drive, Medford, Oregon, who died Wednesday, November 12, were held Monday, November 17. The Honor Guard from the Veterans Administration Domiciliary, White City, provided full military honors.

Mr. Bruse was born April 19, 1921 at Blair, Nebraska.

He was graduated from Blair High School in 1935 and attended the University of Nebraska from 1935 until 1938.

He entered the service in 1938, serving during World War II with the U.S. Army Engineers. He was discharged from the active reserve in 1946 and retired as a lieutenant colonel in 1968.

He had been employed by Harry and David's Bear Creek Orchards, Mann's Department Store and Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company, retiring in January, 1973.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Orchid Growers Association, the American Kennel Club, the Rogue Valley Country Club and Disabled American Veterans.

On February 20, 1955, at Medford, he married Barbara Brewer, who died in September 1974.

Survivors include one son, Warren Christian (Chris) Brewer, Medford; and one brother, John A. Bruse, Blair, Nebraska.
