SERVICES HELD FOR JOHN BRUSE

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 1, at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Blair for John A. Bruse, 66, who died May 29, 1983.

The Rev. Jess Hansen officiated at the services. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.

John A. Bruse was born April 17, 1917, in Blair to George and Eunice Kilian Bruse. He graduated from Blair High School in 1934 and attended Dana College and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

He worked for Hooker Furniture Corporation for over 30 years. He was a member of the Midwest Furniture Salesmen Association, North Central Home Furnishing Representative Association, and Internation Home Furnishing Representative Association.

He married Ruth Jenkins in Papillion, Nebraska, on August 12, 1930.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, George Bruse.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons, Steve of Houston, Texas, and Chuck of Washington, D.C.; and one grandchild.

Pallbearers were George Campbell, Gordon Vinton, Robert Hunt, Keith Vinton, Homer Nielsen and Harold Wright.

Music for the services was provided by Clare Cowing and Robert Jenkins.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
