Katherine Knudsen passed away on Friday morning at 7:30 at the age of 30 years and 7 days. She was born in Assens, Denmark, May 4, 1886. The funeral was held at the Danish Lutheran church at 2 o'clock with burial in the Kennard cemetery. She was married to Laurits Buch in Dec., 1905 in Denmark and came to this country in 1910. To this union three children were born, one boy and two girls who with their father are left to mourn a kind wife and mother. She also leaves a mother and father, two brothers and two sisters in Denmark and one sister, a nurse at Davenport, Iowa.

Mrs. Lauritz Buck who has been sick for some time passed away Friday morning at her home in east Kennard. Mrs. Buck was only past 30 years of age having been born in Assens, Denmark May 4, 1886. She married to Lauritz Buck in Dec. 1905 in the home country. Three children were born to them, Carl, the oldest and only son was born in Denmark. Mr. Buck came to America first and six years ago she came. Besides her husband, one son and two little daughters here and on sister, a nurse, of Davenport, Ia., she leaves to mourn her loss a father, mother, two sisters and two brothers in the old country. A large circle of friends extend their sympathy to Mr. Buck and his little ones in their bereavement. Lorena Buck is with her brother at present and will care for the children for a time. His brother and wife of Herman, were also here the past week returning home Monday. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Danish Lutheran Church, Rev. Anderson of Blair, preaching in both the Danish and English language using for his text "My Father's House has Many Mansions." Ever Williamsen, Adolph Kroigard, Mads Madsen, Henry Jensen, Jens Christensen and Hans Jorgensen were the bearers.

The death of Mrs. Lauritz Buck occurred last Friday, the 15th inst. after a lingering and painful illness. Deceased was born in Assens, Denmark, March 10th, 1886, being 30 years, 2 months and 5 days old at the time of her death and was married to Lauritz Buck in her native country in December, 1905, her husband coming to this country subsequently and six years ago she came to join him. Her husband and three small children survive. One sister is living in this country and her parents. two brothers and two sisters remain in Denmark. The sympathy of this entire community is extended to Mr. Buck and his motherless children in this hour of their sad bereavement. The funeral services were held at the Danish Lutheran church, Rev. A. M. Andersen, of Blair, preaching the sermon and burial was made in the Kennard cemetery.
