Elizabeth Lipe Genett, daughter of J. A. and Amelia Rosenbaum, was born near Blair, Nebraska January 27, 1881, and died November 24, 1921, aged 40 years, 9 months and 28 days. The deceased’s mother died while she was not much more than a baby, after which she lived with two sisters, first in Omaha and then at Blair, and in this way she grew to womanhood. She was married to Wiley George in Omaha, Nebraska February 5, 1901, and to this union were born four children, one daughter and three sons, one of whom died in infancy.

Sister George was converted when about ten years of age and became a member of a little Methodist church in Omaha, then called Southwest Methodist Episcopal church. She became a member of the Blair Methodist Episcopal church January 28, 1917 under the pastorate of the Rev. W. H. Underwood.

Sister George became ill last February, and from then until the time of her death she has suffered much, and with it all she has been very patient and hopeful. Two weeks before she went away she was taken to the Methodist hospital of Omaha, but the case seemed to by beyond the skill of the best doctors.

Mrs. George leaves to mourn this seemingly untimely death her aged father, her husband, her only daughter, Grace, aged 20; one son, Kenneth, aged 15; and the youngest son, Marvin, aged 13; one sister, Mrs. J. T. Cunningham of Los Angeles, Calif.; many other relatives and friends.

Sister George was an affectionate wife, a loving mother and a good neighbor. The family has lived in Blair about 20 years. The daughter, Grace, has been teaching in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and because of her mother’s sickness, came home two weeks ago. Her father needs her so much now she will not return to her school.

The funeral service was conducted at the Methodist church last Saturday afternoon by Rev. J. A. Johnson and Rev. W. H. Underwood, and interment was made in the Kennard cemetery.
