Rasmus, 72, Died Saturday

Word was received this week of the death of Rasmus Larsen, aged 72, at his home in Los Angeles, California, last Saturday, November 2, 1939. Mr. Larsen will be remembered by many friends in this community, as he had made his home here over a long period of years. He was uncle of H. J. Madsen, clerk of the district court. He had been in poor health for nearly a year preceding his demise, and had undergone an operation a short time ago. Funeral rites and burial took place in Los Angeles.

Note: The Vig Files at the Danish American Archives has his name recorded as Robert (Rasmus) Larsen (Laursen). He was a carpenter and worked for Frank Linden. Lived in Kennard and later to Omaha. Lived in Blair 2 years. His sister is Mrs. Thomas Madsen and has a daughter Marie Rasmine.

Rasmus Larsen Dies At Age 72

Rasmus Larsen, 72, former Kennard and Blair resident, is dead at Los Angeles, California, his nephew, District Court Clerk Harold J. Madsen, learned yesterday.

Mr. Larsen, who worked with Frank Linden as a carpenter in former years, once lived at Kennard. Later he moved to Omaha, then spent two years here with his nephew, Mr. Madsen, before going to Los Angeles six years ago to live with a daughter. Funeral services and burial are to be at Los Angeles.
