Jerome E. Sperling, 75 years, of Arlington passed away Wednesday, Feb 13, 2019, at Methodist Fremont Health. He was born on June 1, 1943, in Fremont to Elmer and Helen (Vogt) Sperling.

Jerome grew up in Arlington, graduated from Arlington High School and received his bachelor's degree from University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He returned to Arlington to farm and raise livestock.

He was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church at Arlington.

Jerome is survived by his brothers, David Sperling of Arlington and Leon (Marge) Sperling of Fremont; sisters, Arlene (Donald) Reed of Las Vegas, Nev., and Sheryl (George) Lively of Cedar Bluffs; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wesley Sperling; sister, Janelle and her husband Les Schakat; and niece, Michelle Tawney.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019, at St Paul's Lutheran Church north of Arlington. Pastor Rick Kanoy and Pastor Jason Duley will officiate. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Visitation will continue on Saturday 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be at St. Paul's Cemetery, Hooper, NE.

Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
