Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at Campbell Funeral Home for Bessie Forsen who died May 2, 1983.

The Rev. Kurt Sortland will officiate. Burial will be in the Herman Cemetery.

Bessie Forsen was born in Little Sioux, Iowa, November 26, 1897, to Thomas and Sara Armstrong Bothwell. She married John C. Forsen on February 28, 1925.

She lived in California Junction, Iowa, until moving to Herman in 1961.

One brother, Thomas Bothwell, preceded her in death.

She is survived by three children, Cleo Anderson, Sun City, Arizona; Charlotte Turner, Des Moines, Iowa, and J. Kenneth Forsen, Herman. Nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ethel Nelson, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Bertha Kidder, Kinnakec, Washington; Leona Powell, Little Sioux, Iowa; and Josephine Roden Mondamin, Iowa; and two brothers, Lloyd Bothwell, Pisgah, Iowa; and Joseph Bothwell, Mondamin, Iowa, also survive her.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
