Mrs. Caisa Lindberg, who had made her home in Washington County for nearly sixty years, died Tuesday evening. She was 87 years old at the time of her passing.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, at two o’clock, from the Bendorf Funeral Home, with Rev. D. D. Kennedy of the Blair Baptist Church officiating. Interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.

As Caisa Gunnarsdatter, Mrs. Lindberg was born on September 1, 1855, in Jernskog, Vermland, Sweden. She was married there to Olof Erickson Lindberg on March 24, 1882.

The couple immigrated to the United states that year, and settled in Omaha. In the fall of 1882, they moved to a farm at Rose Hill, northwest of Blair; in 1883, Mr. and Mrs. Lindberg moved to a farm southwest of Herman, where they resided for four years. They returned to Blair in 1887 to spend the remaining years of their lives. Mrs. Lindberg had lived in her home on East Grant Street for more than fifty years.

Left to mourn her death are an only son, Nels, and tow nephews, besides a large host of friends.

The community again mourns the passing of another old settlers.
