TED BUCHARDT DIED HERE ON SUNDAY, MARCH 28

Theodore William (Ted) Buchardt, lifetime resident of the Orum vicinity, died last Sunday, March 28th at Memorial Community Hospital. He was 66 years old.

The deceased was born at Orum May 15, 1904 and grew to manhood in that area. He has been a farmer all of his life and he carried on his work in the Orum vicinity where he had been born and raised.

As a young man he was married to Miss Pearl Newkirk. The couple became the parents of two sons and a daughter, all of whom survive their father. The sons are Leo and Emile, both of whom live in the Arlington vicinity. The daughter is Mrs. Allen Sorensen (Nadine) who also lives near Arlington. There are nine grandchildren.

A brother, Nels Buchardt, lives near Ft. Calhoun. Mrs. Emma Eriksen is a sister of the deceased man.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Emmanuel Lutheran church at Orum with the Rev. Arden Dorn conducting the service. Burial was made in the Orum Cemetery.

Hiram Lodge 52, A.F. & A.M. carried out a committal service at the cemetery.
