Services for Rolland V. Bucklin, 77 of Blair who died November 19, 1992 at his home in Blair were held Saturday, November 28 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. The rosary was held Friday.

Rolland V. Bucklin was born January 18, 1915 at West Point, Nebraska to Leslie H. and Adella Jurgenson Bucklin. He grew up in Blair, moving here as an infant with his family.

He graduated from Blair High School in 1932. After graduating he worked for the CCC in Alma, Nebraska; the city of Blair and the Pilot Tribune newspaper.

He served in the Army during World War II, joining in August, 1941 and being discharged in November, 1945.

After the war, he returned to Blair and worked for the Blair Enterprise and Pilot-Tribune (Enterprise Publishing Company) until his retirement. He was the last person to use the Linotype machine and small letter presses on a regular basis at the Enterprise printing office.

He was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Blair American Legion Post and the Blair Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

He is survived by two brothers, Les Bucklin of Blair and Donald Paul Bucklin of Lenexa, Kansas.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
