Harry Cooper, 75, Died at Herman Saturday, Aug. 17

Henry O. Cooper, 75 a resident of the Tekamah area for many years died at his home in Herman August 17 after an illness of several months.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 20, in the Methodist church in Herman. Rev. Dan Peterson of Herman and Dr. John Harbaugh of Tekamah officiated.

Joyce Raymond sang “The Lord’s Prayer”.

Pallbearers were Henry Georgeson, R. W. Little, Wayne Loftis, Quatin Lambley, Clifton Anderson and Clare Johnson. Interment was in the Herman cemetery.

Henry Cooper, better known as Harry, was born to Henry and Priscila Cooper April 19, 1882, at Monmouth, Ill., and died August 17, 1957, at his home in Herman.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mertle Rasmussen of Herman, Nettie May Bradley of LaMesa, Calif., Mrs. Jackie Brinley of La Puente, Calif.; son, Philip of Decatur; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Gene Cooper of Tekamah and Bert Cooper of LaMesa, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Louis Fitch of Montezuma, Ariz., Mrs. Catherine Rutledge of Herman and Mrs. Maude Prussa of Walla Walla, Wash.

A daughter, Thelma Erlewine, preceded him in death.
