Arthur Morris Pedersen MD Gaffney, SC, passed away on Friday at Peachtree Center in Gaffney. Dr. Pedersen was 1 of 6 children born to Dr. and Mrs. Andrew Pedersen in Waupaca, WI. He and his two brothers followed their father’s footsteps into Medicine. Dr. Pedersen attended Dana College and graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical School in 1945. He practiced in Council Bluffs, IA from 1947-1972, and then moved to Gaffney. He practiced in North and South Carolina and Alabama, and finally retired at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul; 2 sisters, Helen and Inga. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary; 2 siblings, Carl and Ruth; 2 daughters, Barbara (Loren) Williams, Nancy (Earl) Sasser; son, Bill (Tricia) Pedersen; grandchildren; great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at a time to be announced later at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Gaffney, where he was a member for many years.
