Christian Andersen Died Sunday

Christian A. Noer Andersen, one of the best known and best beloved characters of the older generation, passed away last Sunday, February 21, at the ripe old age of 89 years.

He was born in Denmark, November 18, 1853, and came to American in 1873, settling first in Omaha and later going to Burt County where he farmed for a number of years.

On December 21, 1877, he was married to Mrs. Karen Fredericksen. Three children and an adopted son survive him. They are Miss Anna Andersen at home; P. W. Andersen of Lomita, California, and Mrs. H. Nielsen of Blair; and an adopted son, John Andersen of Omaha. He also has eighteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

The deceased moved to Blair in 1893 and has since that time made this him home and where he has drawn to himself a large circle of friends.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Blair and it was in this church that the funeral was held of Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. H. C. Jorgensen officiating, assisted by Rev. Kjoller, and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.
