Mrs. Geo. Michelsen Died Sunday

Mrs. George Michelsen, after an illness that confined her to her bed two weeks, died Sunday, July 13, at 8:30 a.m. She had been a sufferer from a heart ailment for some time but it was not apparently serious until the last two weeks.

Johann Christina Carstens was born in Omaha in 1888. On September 16, 1908 she was married to George Michelsen of DeSoto and since then has resided on a farm in that vicinity.

Besides the husband she leaves three sisters, Mrs. Ole Michelsen of Walthill, Nebraska; Mrs. Mary Van Wie of Toledo, Ohio; and Mrs. Lizzie Lutz of Plattsmouth, Nebraska and two brothers, Will of Denver and Alvin of Priest Ville, Canada and several half-brothers and a half-sister.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Baptist Church with Rev. C. E. Hamilton officiating.
