Mrs. C. Paulsen Called To Rest

Funeral rites were held Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church for Mrs. Chris Paulsen, Rev. H. C. Jul Frese officiating and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery under the supervision of J. E. Campbell. She was baptized and confirmed in the German Lutheran faith.

On February 23, 1892, she was united in marriage with Christian H. Paulsen. In August of the same year, she and her husband came to America and established a residence at Fort Calhoun. Two years later, they moved to a farm three and one-half miles southwest of Blair. They lived there until 1921 when they came to Blair, which had since been their home.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ernest, who died in infancy; and another son, Charlie, who died March 6, 1924. She is survived by her husband, Christian; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Wulbern of Blair; and a granddaughter, Margaret Wulbern.

Mrs. Margaretha Johann Elise Paulsen was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany on July 21, 1863, and died August 10, 1941 at the Blair Hospital at the age of seventy eight. She had been ill since April.

She was baptized and confirmed in the German Lutheran faith.
