Funeral Thursday For Grace Geary

Miss Grace Geary, age 69, died ? day of this week at her home west of Herman. She had been suffering some time from a goiter, Miss Geary, her sister, with whom she lived called at the home of a neighbor Brodersen, about noon and verified the death of Grace. Mr. Broderson gave Truhlsen Bros. Undertakers the information and the body was brought to Herman and funeral arrangements were made. Before moving the body from the home the sheriff and coroner were notified and after viewing the body they decided no inquest was necessary.

Funeral services were held for the deceased at two o’clock this afternoon at the Herman Methodist church. Rev. C. C. Norlin officiated. Music was furnished by Fred ? , Chas. Gray, Mrs. C. K. Je? and Mrs. Geo. Lowe accompanied Mrs. O. H. Godsey at the piano. Interment was at the New England cemetery.

Grace Geary was born on June 6, 1874 near Herman, Nebraska and reached the age of 59 years and 21 days.

When a small girl she moved with her parents to the home where she died. Since the death of her parents about eight years ago she and her sister, Carrie, lived together at that place.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. W. F. Richards of Beatrice and Miss Carrie Geary of Herman, brother, George, at Inman, Nebr., nephews and one niece.

In her girlhood she ? with the Methodist Episcopal church ?.

Funeral services for Miss Grace Geary were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the M.E. church, conducted by the pastor Rev. C.C. Norlin. Interment was made in the New England cemetery. Grace Geary was born June 6, 1874 on a homestead in the New England neighborhood, and passed away at her home west of here February 27, 1934, aged 59 years, 8 months and 21 days. When a small girl who moved with her parents to the home where she died. Since the death of her mother eight years ago, she and a sister, Carrie, have lived together at the home place. In her girlhood she united with the M.E. church at Vacoma. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. W.F. Richards of Beatrice, Miss Carrie Geary at home, one brother, George of Inman, Neb., four nephews and one niece.
