George Hopkins Dead of Heart Attach, Friday-Was Former Blairite; Burial Services Conducted Sunday

George Hopkins, 70, of Fremont, a former Blair resident, died suddenly of a heart attack last Friday afternoon while at work in the Hatcher Plumbing Co. Funeral services were held in Fremont on Sunday, and burial was made in Ridge Cemetery.

A brother Oscar Hopkins of Blair, the deceased was born on a Burt County Farm on December 12, 1869. He lived with his parents in Idaho and Washington for several years and then returned to Blair to make his home. For many years he was employed by the C. & N.W. railroad, later moving to Fremont.

He is survived by Mrs. Hopkins of Fremont; a brother Oscar, of Blair; a sister, Mrs. Emma Shrider of Ogden, Utah; several step-children, George Smith, Mrs. R. B. Holthous, Mrs. William Lamberty of Fremont, Mrs. Jack Walters of Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. Micky Parker of Denver, Colorado; Eldon Smith of Lusk, Wyoming; and Mrs. Lada Palacek of Cedar Bluffs; and two daughter, Mrs. Ruth Woods of Bunker Hill, Illinois, and Mrs. Hazel Bauchant of Santa Paula, California.
