Mrs. Anna G. Pease Dies At Age 89, Pioneer Of County Since 1866; Husband Died In 1911

Death claimed another county pioneer last Tuesday in the person of Mrs. Anna Pease who passed away at the age of 89 years. Deceased was born in Newbridge, South Wales in 1851 and at the age of fifteen years came to this county where she had since resided.

At the age of 25 she was married to Peter H. Pease, who passed away in 1911. To Mr. and Mrs. Pease eight children were born, six of whom are still living.. They are Clas. Pease of Modale, Iowa; Mrs. E. E. Ladd, of Blair; Mrs. Frank Taylor, Glair; Mrs. John Ladd, Winslow; Paul Pease, Riverton, Wyoming and Mrs. Kenneth E. Mullen of Blair, beside several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Bendorf Funeral Home and interment will be made in the Blair Cemetery.

Surely Father Time is thinning the ranks of pioneers and with the death of Mrs. Pease the time draws nearer when their list will become extinct and their lives but a memory.
