Harriet M. (Fair) Dowden

Mrs. Jas. Dowden Died March 26th

Mrs. James A Dowden, a former resident of this county, passed away Wednesday morning of last week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Treffer of Rockville, Nebraska.

Deceased was born near Morriston, Sullivan County, New York, February 13, 1854. On February 13, 1872, she was married to James A. Dowden and them five children were born, Mrs. Carl Treffer, Rockville, Nebraska; Edward and George, Mrs. Charles Peak and Ray. These are left to mourn her departure.

Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon at two o’clock from the Campbell Mortuary with Rev. R. W. Hastings of the local Congregational Church officiating and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.
