Andersen, Carol Jane, Age 78, Council Bluffs. Passed away March 13, 2012 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. Carol was born in Kennard, NE on September 3, 1933 to Henry A. and Eunice M. (Nielsen) Rix, who precede her in death. Carol was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her time with family above all else. She and her husband Billy loved to travel in their motor home and eventually retired to Sebring, FL, where they lived for 17 years. Two years ago, they returned to Council Bluffs and made their home at Risen Son Christian Village. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Lybarger. Carol will be sadly missed by her husband of 54 years, Billy Andersen; her children Roy Andersen, Ronald Andersen, Rodney Earlywine, Carolyn Marlow, Randy Andersen, Kristene Kinnison, and Roxann Pantona and their spouses; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren; one sister and tow brothers; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.

To celebrate the true loving and fun-filled nature that made Carol’s life the great adventure that it was, her family will host a public celebration of her at Risen Son Christian Village on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 2-4:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for a memorial bench to be placed by Jackson Lake in Sebring, FL in Carol’s name.
