George J. Snyder, failing in health the past two years, became seriously ill March 17th and passed away nine days later at the Blair Hospital at the age of 78 years, 5 months, and 1 week.

Born at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, October 18, 1861 at the age of 3 years moved with his family to Delaware, Ohio, where he grew to manhood. In 1886 the family came to Nebraska, and farmed near Bennington. On February 26, 1891, he was united in marriage to Laura E. Fee of Irvington, Nebraska. The first year of their married life was spent on a farm 4 miles south of Blair, and the next year they bought the farm in the same neighborhood, where they raise their family of three children, and resided for 43 years. Six years ago they sold their farm home and retired to their present home in Blair.

Mr. Snyder, a kind and gentle husband and father, has had a full and useful life.
