Pioneer Resident Rites Monday

Charles Justice, aged 76 years, 10 months and 16 days, died at his home in DeSoto last Saturday, June 1. Deceased was born in Indiana, July 15, 1863, and came to DeSoto at the age of four years in 1867 thus being territorial pioneer.

He had lived in DeSoto continuously since his arrival in the county when DeSoto was a thriving river town with several hundred inhabitants.

He leaves to mourn him two sister, Mrs. Freeman Tucker of Blair and Mrs. Emma Garmetz of Oklahoma, and one brother, Lennie Justice of Herman.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Bendorf Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph P. Rasmussen officiating and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.
