Edna L. Buehrer, 88 died Monday, June 23, 1997.

Services were Friday at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. Burial was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Buehrer was born May 18, 1909, on a farm five miles west of Fort Calhoun to William and Bertha (Fischer) Iversen, Washington County farm pioneers. She lived most of her early life in the Fort Calhoun community and was active in 4-H club work. In 1941, she went to La Porte, Ind., where she was later employed as an insurance administrator for Benefit Trust Life of Chicago. She left that position in August, 1972. She was married to George Adam Buehrer.

Survivors are one son and daughter-in-law, David and Willon; two grandchildren; one sister, Celia Schneider of Blair; one nephew, Dean Schneider of Omaha; a cousin, Goldie Neilsen of Fort Calhoun and many nieces and nephews in the La Porte and Chicago area.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George on Dec. 21, 1971.
