Mrs. Fred Woltje Buried Sunday

Mrs. Fred Woltje, 67, resident of Blair for the past thirty years, passed away at her home on South Walker Avenue last Thursday evening, February 1, following a brief illness. Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon with Rev. Taub and Rev. Nougle of the Omaha Kountze Memorial Church officiating, and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.

As Louisa Thole, Mrs. Woltje was born in Scott County, Illinois, on September 1, 1872. She was confirmed in the Lutheran Church during her girlhood. She was married to Frederick Woltje and they spent several years on a farm near Anthony, Kansas, moving to Blair in 1910.

Beside the husband, she is survived by two sons, James and Eddie of Blair; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph Johnson of the Philippine Islands, Katherine of Omaha and Nellie of Blair; five sister, Mrs. Mary Furst and Mrs. Peter Bohn of Blair, Mrs. Henry Fries and Mrs. Gust Fries of Ohiowa and Mrs. Henry Langhorst of David City; and one grandson.

Pallbearers at the funeral Sunday were W. W. Schmidt, Earnest Schmidt, Henry Nohrenberg, Frank Bross, Lou Latta, and Fred Abbott. Among those out-of-town relatives who attended the rites were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fries and Miss Edna and Arthur Wulf of Ohiowa, Nebraska; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Trebold, Mrs. Henry Meyer and daughter, and Mrs. Fred Golter of Campbell, Nebraska; Miss Ruth Woltje of Lincoln, Mrs. Lou Pingle of Marcus, Iowa; Mrs. Bill Parish, Lucille and Earl Parish, and Mr. and Mrs. Lou Jensen and sons of Omaha.
