Mrs. Anna M. Passes Away

Mrs. Anna M. Beard early settler in Washington County, died Wednesday morning, April 27th after a prolonged illness. Deceased was the daughter of Maria M. and John P. Wishart and was born April 21, 1859, in Huntsville, Ohio, where she grew to womanhood.

She came to Nebraska with her parents in 1880 and taught school until her marriage to John F. Beard/ To this union a son and daughter were born. The son, Worth E. Beard, reside in Green Bay, Wisconsin and the daughter, Mrs. Mabel E. Hixenbaugh, reside in Seattle Washington. These with one sister, Mrs. A. J. Taylor, of this city survive her and grieve deeply their loss.

She was a member of the Women’s Relief Corps who will conduct funeral services Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Campbell Mortuary.
