CALHOUN MERCHANT SUICIDE

POOR HEALTH IS ATTRIBUTED CAUSE OF ACT. MAN OF EXCEPTIONALLY HIGH STANDING IN HIS COMMUNITY.

NATIVE OF FORT CALHOUN

Otto Kruse, prominent Calhoun merchant, was found dead in the warehouse of his store early this (Thursday) morning. The deed had been committed, so reports reach this office, with a shotgun which was found near him.

Mr. Kruse was a man held in the highest esteem in the community of Calhoun, where he had been reared, and the town and countryside are shocked at the sad news.

He has been in poor health for some time and this is supposed to be the cause of the act.

As yet no arrangements have been made for the funeral.
