Trina S. Allison, 98, of Oakland, died Dec. 4, 2009, at the Oakland Heights Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, at the First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah. Interment will be in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Trina Sylvia Christiansen was born Jan. 3, 1911, in Kennard to Jens and Inger (Andersen) Christiansen. She grew up in the Kennard area, graduating from Arlington High School in 1928.

On Jan. 30, 1929, she married Orville Ray Allison in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They moved to Tekamah in 1941, shortly after starting an electrical business.

Mrs. Allison was a woman with a wonderful sense of humor and took pride in her family. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, and a member of many of the card clubs in Tekamah. She continued to play her favorite card game of bridge well into her 90s. She also loved animals, nature, crafts such as crocheting, and embroidery, and tending to her flower gardens.

She is survived by a son, Al Allison of Sioux City, Iowa; daughter, Betty Ann Bryant of Glendale, Ariz.; daughter-in-law Joyce Allison of Tekamah; sister, Marie Desler of Omaha; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Allison and daughter-in-law, Marva Allison; and her brothers, Walt and Vernon Christiansen.

Memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church of Tekamah and the Tekamah Fire Department. Pelan Funeral Services are in charge of arrangements.
