#2-19 Oct., 1910 - The Pilot - Paul Thompson

Paul Thompson died at about 12 o’clock last Friday night of tetanus poisoning, contracted from a wire cut on the hand. He had had convulsions off and on for over two months and spent seven weeks in the hospital, going home Sunday a week ago. He seemed as well as usual Friday and had been up around a good deal. At about midnight Mrs. Thompson heard a groan and rushed to his side, but he died without a struggle. The funeral was held at the Catholic church at 10 o’clock Monday morning, Father O’Driscoll officiating. He was married to Mrs. Amanda Sheets the day before last Thanksgiving day, less than a year ago, and thus his death becomes an unusually sad one. His first wife died over eight years ago, and leaves three sons and one daughter from that union. Mr. Thompson was 52 years of age and was born in Germany, coming to this country 25 years ago. He also leaves three brothers, Anton, Mike and Jack Thompson.
