Widow of Saloon Keeper Is Dead

Burial services were held at Fort Calhoun yesterday for Mrs. Henry Ketchmark, 73, widow of a former Blair saloon keeper. Mrs. Ketchmark died Sunday at Great Fall, Montana, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Snyder. Also surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Cora Palmatier of Stuart, Iowa, and a son William, of Stockton, California. Born in Canada as Dolly Monroe, she lived at Fort Calhoun, as did her husband, before they came to Blair. Mr. Ketchmark died in 1924.

MRS. H. KETCHMARK BURIED WED.

Mrs. Henry Ketchmark of Great Falls, Montana, died February 5th, and the body was brought to her old home in Fort Calhoun where burial rites were held Wednesday, and interment was made in the Fort Calhoun cemetery.

The Ketchmarks left Blair about 1907 or ’08, going to Tripp county, South Dakota, where they resided for a time. The husband died in 1924, and the wife made her home with her daughter in Great Falls where she died.

Three children survive, Mrs. Lizzie Schneider and Mrs. Cora Palmatier of Great Falls and a son, Will, of Stockton, California.

MRS. HENRY KETCHMARK

Dollie Munro, daughter of Hugh and Margaret Munro was born in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, August 29, 1865 and passed away Febr. 5, 1939 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Snyder at Great Falls, Mont., at the age of 73 years, 5 months, 7 days. While a small child she came to Nebraska with her parents and located on a farm north of Fremont where they lived for several years later coming to Ft. Calhoun. On March 18, 1885 she was married to Henry C. Ketchmark at Ft. Calhoun and to this union four children were born, William of Stockton, Calif., Mrs. Cora Polmantier of Stuart, Iowa and Mrs. Lizzie Snyder of Great Falls, Mont. One son, George, passed away in infancy. She was the last member of the Hugh Munro family to pass away, all of whom have been laid to rest in the Ft. Calhoun cemetery. She was beloved by all who knew her and she made a host of friends wherever she lived, and up until her last lingering illness enjoyed life to its fullest. She joined the Presbyterian Church when a child and kept this faith until the end.

Funeral services were held at the Sievers Mortuary Wednesday afternoon, Rev. R.E. Donaldson officiating, and burial was in the Ft. Calhoun cemetery.
