#1-Published in the Pilot-Tribune January 19, 1939 Daughter Born To John Leehys

A seven pound baby daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. John Leehy of Nashville last Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m. The daughter was the first girl born to the Leehy’s, they being the parents of three boys. Due to a poor general physical condition the baby died at 5:30 Saturday evening. Brief funeral services were held at the grave in the Blair Cemetery Monday morning.

Death of the infant was attributed to an accident in Omaha on November 28th at which time Mrs. Leehy was struck by a street car which attempting to pull her youngest son, Tommy, who had darted into the path of the oncoming car, to safety.

The mother, the former Charlotte Maher, of Blair is reported to be getting along nicely.
