Fred Davis, who fell from the top of a caboose last Thursday injuring his spine, was taken to Omaha for treatment and died there Tuesday night. The body was brought up Wednesday afternoon and taken to the home of Mrs. L. A. Wilcox on Grant street. The funeral will be held at 2 o’clock today at the Methodist church and interment made in the Blair cemetery. Fred had been breaking on the F.E. & M. V. for about three months and was doing well when the accident occurred. The railroad company have agreed to pay all expenses attendant upon his death and burial. Fred was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Felix Davis, now living on a fruit farm near Salem, Oregon. He has two brothers and one sister at the same place. HE was a nephew of Jesse T. Davis and Mrs. L. A. Wilcox, of this city. He leaves a wife who cared for him before death came and must now mourn his untimely departure.

Fred Davis, who is breaking on the F.E. M.V. road, was switching just north of the west park this morning when a sudden jolt caused him to fall from the top of the caboose. He struck on the back of his neck and was picked up insensible. It is believed his spine is injured as he cannot move his lower limbs.
