Raymond Samuel Schutt, age 70, formerly of Blair, passed away March 20, 2019 at Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lincoln.

Memorial services will be held March 27, 2019 at 11a.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. A military graveside service will follow in the Herman Cemetery.

Raymond Samuel Schutt was born on Nov. 11, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, the son of Donald and Lucille Schutt. Raymond was raised in Nebraska and then served in the United States Air Force, serving his country in both Korea and Vietnam.

On Jan. 6, 1968, Raymond was united in marriage to Nancy Rasmussen in Langley, Va. After Raymond’s honorable discharge from the Air Force the family moved back to Nebraska. Raymond worked as an auto mechanic for many years until his retirement. Raymond enjoyed camping, car racing and fishing, but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Sandi (Shawn) Martindale of Lincoln, Jeff (Sherri) Schutt of Fremont, Steve Schutt of Lincoln and James (Tasha) Schutt of Fremont; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jackson, Brooklyn, Alayna, Davey and Carley; siblings, Robert (Stacey) Schutt of Gretna, Timothy (Jeannene) Schutt of Cedar Bluffs and Pat Lewis of Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Kelli (Danny) Hermanson of Blair and Keri Raymond of Blair.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael; brothers-in-law, Verner Lewis and James Rasmussen; and mother and father-in-law, Marilyn and Clifford Raymond.

Memorials may be directed to the Parkinson's Foundation.
