MRS. DORA STRODE PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Isadora “Dora” (May) Strode, an early settler in Blair, passed away March 4, 1939 at the age of 85 years. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio, and was married to Newton Strode, July 3, 1879.

To them eight children were born, two dying in infancy. The survivors are Wm. K. Strode, Mrs. Nellie Lazure, Mrs. Pearl Stewart, Mrs. Helene Ames, John and George. Besides the children, just named, two sisters, Mrs. Helene Glasgow of Helena, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Alice Jones of Des Moines, Iowa and one brother, William May of Newton, Iowa, and seven grandchildren mourn her death.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary on Monday, March 6, 1939 with Rev. Ralph P. Rasmussen officiating and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.
